In this episode, the anti-fraction dolls advance deeper into contested territory only to be ambushed by packs of Geists. One unit becomes separated during the assault and is overwhelmed by the monsters’ consuming hunger, which begins to fracture her rigid programming. As glitches spread through her systems, she registers the first stirrings of emotion, forcing her to confront sensations she was never designed to feel. The rest of the squad must regroup while grappling with the unsettling possibility that their comrade is changing.
