In episode five, Shizuka reaches Tokyo after years away and sets out to locate the boy whose kindness eased her final days in the city. She soon finds Kosuke immersed in his carefree pursuits, surrounded by a string of lighthearted yet distracting romantic mishaps that leave little room for reflection. Even so, she notices brief flashes of his former thoughtfulness and resolves to nurture those qualities. Through patient persistence, Shizuka hopes this reunion can steer him toward a steadier bond with her.
