In a town unsettled by strange phantom assaults, students at Akitoshi’s school grow wary as whispers of supernatural culprits circulate. When an unfamiliar girl arrives and everyone but Akitoshi seems to recognize her, he follows her out of curiosity, only to lose sight and hear a cry from the nearby storage yard. There he discovers classmate Mikage encircled by eerie creatures that soon target him as well, until a swift fighter named Ai appears and repels the threat, prompting Akitoshi to wonder about her true allegiance.
